Basing on the relevant modeling practice and theory, the article afrms the main prospects of trade relations between Ukraine and the most developed countries of East Africa, which are the major markers for goods and commodities produced
by Ukrainian enterprises. By conducting an analysis of development intensity via its relative value and using the Rasch model adapted to the analysis of foreign trade relations, the authors evaluate the attractiveness of commodity importers in Africa. It
has been substantiated that there exists a need for further promotion of trade and selection of potential trade partners from economically developed African countries through the analysis of export and import transactions between Ukraine and selected
African countries over the last 6 years. Based on the evaluations done by the adapted Rasch model, we have specifed that Djibouti, the Seychelles, Tunisia, and Mauritius are promising trade partners for Ukraine in East Africa.
Based on the results of the analysis of the export-import transactions dynamics and the market capacity of East Africa countries, we propose to create the «Ukraine-Africa» Trade House as a pilot project for changing the export structure, reorienting Ukraine’s
industrial priorities for a new geography - to the countries of the African continent in general, and small in particular, with the use of modern integrated information technologies
